Rights Protection & Legal Notices

Copyright Takedown Policy

This page explains how copyright owners and authorized representatives can report alleged infringement involving content distributed, hosted, managed or made available through Digital Real Music, and how affected users may respond to a valid notice.

Effective: August 22, 2026 Rights Protection Notice & Counter-Notice

01Copyright Takedown Overview

Digital Real Music respects intellectual property rights and expects artists, labels, rights holders and other users to submit only content for which they have the necessary rights and permissions.

If you believe that content distributed or managed through our services infringes your copyright or other applicable rights, you can submit a written infringement notice using the process below.

A takedown request should concern a specific, identifiable work and a specific allegedly infringing use. General ownership disputes or commercial disagreements may require additional documentation or a different dispute process.

02Who May Submit a Notice

A notice may be submitted by:

  • The copyright owner or other rights holder.
  • An authorized representative, attorney, publisher, label or rights-management agent.
  • A person or organization legally authorized to act for the relevant rights holder.

If you are submitting on behalf of another person or organization, clearly state your authority and be prepared to provide evidence if requested.

03Requirements for a Valid Copyright Notice

To help us investigate efficiently, your notice should contain all of the following:

1. Your identity

Full legal name, organization/rights-holder name, contact email and a reliable contact method.

2. Protected work

A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.

3. Infringing content

Exact release title, track title, artist/label name, URL or platform location, and any identifiers available.

4. Good-faith statement

A statement that you believe the reported use is unauthorized and that the information supplied is accurate.

Where applicable, include identifiers such as ISRC, UPC/EAN, catalogue number, copyright registration number, platform URL or other information that makes the content easy to locate.

04Evidence & Supporting Documentation

Supporting evidence can significantly reduce review time. Depending on the claim, useful documents may include:

  • Copyright registration or official rights documentation, where available.
  • Publishing, recording, assignment, license or distribution agreements.
  • Contracts showing ownership or exclusive rights.
  • Split sheets or contributor agreements for music rights disputes.
  • Original release records, dated files or other evidence of authorship.
  • Direct URLs or screenshots showing the allegedly infringing content.
  • Power of attorney or authorization evidence where you represent another rights holder.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, private account credentials or unrelated sensitive personal information.

Start a Copyright Report

For the fastest review, provide the release and rights details listed above. This button opens the contact flow; it does not automatically remove content.

06Review & Verification Process

After receiving a notice, we may review the information provided, verify that the reported content can be located, assess whether the notice contains sufficient information, and contact the relevant account holder or rights owner when appropriate.

We may request additional documentation before taking action, especially where ownership is disputed or the report concerns complex music rights such as sound recordings, compositions, samples, interpolations or multiple contributors.

A complete notice does not guarantee removal. Action depends on the facts, applicable law, contractual obligations, platform requirements and available evidence.

07Possible Actions After Review

Depending on the circumstances, Digital Real Music may:

  • Request additional information or supporting documents.
  • Contact the relevant uploader, label, artist or account holder.
  • Temporarily restrict or pause distribution while a dispute is reviewed.
  • Request correction of ownership, metadata or rights information.
  • Submit or request a takedown through an applicable third-party platform process.
  • Remove or disable access to the disputed content where appropriate.
  • Restore content where a valid counter-notice, authorization or other evidence resolves the issue.
  • Take account-level action in cases involving repeated or serious infringement.

08Counter-Notice & Disputed Claims

If content has been restricted or removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the action was incorrect, you may contact support with a detailed response and evidence supporting your right to use the content.

A response should explain why the content is authorized, identify any applicable license or agreement, and provide documents that substantiate your position. Where a formal counter-notice procedure is required by applicable law, we may request the information and declarations required for that procedure.

Submitting a counter-notice does not guarantee restoration. Where appropriate, disputes may need to be resolved directly between the parties or through the competent legal process.

09Restoration After a Dispute

Content may be restored when a valid authorization, license, settlement, withdrawal of complaint, successful dispute response or other reliable evidence establishes that continued restriction is not appropriate.

Because third-party platforms control their own systems, restoration or re-delivery can take additional time after Digital Real Music has completed its internal review.

10Repeat Infringement & Account Action

Accounts associated with repeated or serious copyright infringement may be subject to warnings, catalog restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent termination, removal of content or other action permitted by applicable agreements and law.

Nothing in this section prevents Digital Real Music from taking immediate protective action where necessary to protect rights holders, users, platforms or the integrity of the service.

11False, Fraudulent or Abusive Claims

Copyright notices are serious legal communications. Do not submit a claim if you knowingly lack the rights or authority to make it.

We may reject or restrict abusive, fraudulent, knowingly inaccurate or materially misleading reports. Where permitted by law, a party responsible for an intentionally false claim may be liable for resulting losses or costs.

12Music-Specific Copyright & Rights Issues

Music can contain multiple layers of rights. A dispute may concern one or more of the following:

Sound Recording

The specific recorded performance or master recording.

Composition

Underlying lyrics, melody and musical composition rights.

Samples & Interpolations

Third-party material incorporated into a recording or composition.

Artwork & Visuals

Cover artwork, photographs, logos and other visual assets.

For complex disputes, identify exactly which right is claimed and provide documentation for that right rather than relying only on the track title or artist name.

13Third-Party DSPs & Platform Processes

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Meta, JioSaavn, Gaana and other third-party services maintain independent copyright systems, policies and reporting procedures.

Where a platform requires a specific notice format or directs a claimant to submit a report directly to the platform, Digital Real Music may direct the claimant to the relevant platform process or coordinate with the platform where appropriate.

14Privacy & Handling of Complaints

Information provided in a copyright complaint may be used to investigate the claim, communicate with relevant parties, comply with legal obligations and protect the service. We may share necessary portions of a notice with the affected account holder or platform where required to process the dispute.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information. For broader information about our handling of personal data, please review the Privacy Policy.
